Removable galvanized steel framework for beach huts

July 2011 – This spring, Ooghduyne holiday village brought 25 beach huts to the sea front at Julianadorp aan Zee. These beach huts, which were put together in April and will be dismantled in October, have steel foundations with a terrace and steps to the main part of the hut, which is made out of wooden pre-fab sections. The steel part of the structure was hot-dip galvanized by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard so that the beach huts are protected against the elements.

The beach huts stand at the foot of the sand dunes. Because the beach huts are in a natural setting, they have ‘muted’ colours so that they blend in with their surroundings. The large windows afford holidaymakers a fine view of the North Sea coast. The huts are equipped with all mod cons and guests can use the all-weather facilities in the holiday village which is close by.

Jongejans Staalbouw of Den Helder is a steel construction firm that supervised the building process in-house from design to assembly. They supplied self-assembly steel frames with steps and a terrace. The frames were hot-dip galvanized by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard. Beach resort Ooghduyne now has a number of pretty beach huts that can not only be easily assembled and disassembled, but which are also protected against sun, rain and sea breezes!
